Refunds and cancelling
Effective October 7, 2026.
Plain-English summary; not legal advice.
Founding clients
- Nothing is owed until you’ve seen your finished site and said yes. If you say no, you owe nothing, so there’s nothing to refund.
- Your first $49 is due the day your site goes live.
Build payments (Local and Contractors)
- Change your mind before I start building, and I refund the first half in full.
- Once I’ve started building, I refund the first half minus anything I’ve already paid out for your site, like your domain registration. I’ll show you what those costs were, and the domain stays in your name.
- The second half is due only after you’ve approved the finished site. If you don’t approve it, you don’t pay the second half and the site doesn’t launch.
Monthly plans
- Each monthly payment covers the month ahead. I don’t refund part of a month.
- To cancel, give me 30 days’ notice. Your plan ends on the last day of the billing month in which your 30 days’ notice runs out. That month’s payment is your last one.
- Founding clients: if you give notice during the 6-month minimum, your plan ends at the end of month 6 or when your 30 days’ notice runs out, whichever is later.
- If I ever bill you by mistake, I refund it in full.
How to cancel
- Call, text or email me. I’ll confirm your last billing date in writing.
- When you leave, your domain stays in your name and I hand over your site files.
When a refund shows up
Refunds go back to the card or bank account you paid with. Stripe says they usually show up in 5 to 10 business days.
